With the approaching winter season already filling hearts of homeowners with fear of how they’re going to heat their homes and still be able to afford the basic necessities, we at Sisson’s would like to remind everyone that safety is still number one. We’ve had many people looking to switch to wood stoves, pellet stoves and even coal stoves in hopes of dashing the ever high gas, propane and fuel oil prices. For us here at Sisson’s this is great, we’d love to sell you a new stove or fireplace, but too often we’ve been hearing of people looking to “cobble” a makeshift stove in their home for supplemental heat. We know that the price of a new stove, fireplace and chimney can add up quickly, but we also know that when things aren’t done up to code and “cobbled” that the end result can be worse than a really high heating bill. So if you’re thinking of adding a stove or fireplace for extra heat please let us help you do it the right way. Afterall, you can’t put a price on your family’s safety.

We don’t know about you, but every time we turn on the TV there seems to be more and more bad news! It’s either a natural disaster, the poor economy, global warming or, of course, politics as usual. The oil companies are getting richer, the working man is getting poorer, celebrities and professional athletes have too much time and money for their own good and the days don’t seem to be long enough to get anything accomplished! I know you’re wondering where we’re going with this, it’s simple, here at Sisson’s Chain Saws and Stoves we’ve decided to have a positive outlook on things. When you walk through our doors we want you to take a break from the negative that’s surrounding us and enjoy the pleasure of good old fashioned small town service. The kind where you hear about the local softball team making everyone proud for going to so far in the sectional playoffs or about how cute our grandkids and kids are and we of course want to hear about your little ones and see pictures so we can swap stories. We want you to buy our quality products because we know they’ll get your job done and done well, but more importantly we want our quality service to impress you so you’ll come back with more stories about your kids and grandkids. At Sisson’s we pride ourselves on over 25 years experience. The kind of experience that has enjoyed the good times, weathered the bad times, and has us planning on being here for many more. So take a break, stop in for some positive news and while you’re here purchase some great quality products and experience our great quality service. We can’t wait to see you!

With gas prices climbing higher and higher, we’re always amazed here at Sisson’s that people would drive twice and sometimes three times the distance to another store to purchase the exact same stove or fireplace that they could buy here. We’ve found that there’s a common misconception that Bolivar is a terribly long drive from places such as Olean, Allegany, Salamanca, Hinsdale and Cuba. Well we did a little research and here is what we found:
Olean to Bolivar: 18 Miles
Allegany to Bolivar: 21 Miles
Cuba to Bolivar: 15 Miles
Salamanca to Bolivar: 39 Miles
Hinsdale to Bolivar: 26 Miles
Now here is the mileage to the next closest dealer who carries the exact same products we do:
Olean: 46 Miles (A Difference of 28 Miles)
Allegany: 46 Miles ( A Difference of 25 Miles)
Cuba: 45 Miles (A Difference of 30 Miles)
Salamanca: 46 Miles (A Difference of 7 Miles)
Hinsdale: 40 Miles (A Difference of 14 Miles)
Not only are we closer than the other dealer when it comes to purchasing your stove or fireplace, but we’re also closer for parts and service after the sale! It used to be people didn’t have to worry about driving a few extra miles for something, but these days that’s all changed. Here at Sisson’s we want people to see that high quality stoves and fireplaces and a first class showroom are just a short drive away. Go to our map on this website and get directions right to us!

Have you ever noticed how time goes by way too fast? Tomorrow is only May 1st and already news reports are talking about the rising cost of natural gas, propane and fuel oil for the upcoming winter. With the bleek outlook on the economy in general it doesn’t suprise us here at Sisson’s that they are forecasting the high heating costs. What does suprise us is how many people wait until the last minute (ie. the first snowfall) to really start thinking about ways to efficiently heat their home. To us it’s never too early or too warm to start thinking about heating your home. We’re always ready to talk with you regarding the best and most efficient way to keep your home warm, without breaking the bank. To us quality products that offer the highest efficiency and our quality support to back them up is all you need and we’d love to have the opportunity to prove it. So don’t worry about how you’re going to heat your home this upcoming winter, let us help you every step of the way!
